Type two diabetes is a chronic disease that primarily interferes with the bodies ability to produce and utilise insulin. This results in elevated blood sugar levels which can have a negative impact on health long term'. Both an acute bout of exercise and long term adherence to an exercise program, can have positive effects on the management of T2DM and the associated co-morbidities.
