Fix Tip - Asthma and Exercise

Asthma is a respiratory condition which increases inflammation in your bronchial airways, making it difficult to get air in and out of the lungs. A normal response to exercise is shortness of breath, however, with a respiratory condition it can mean your shortness of breath is increased. Exercise is safe to perform and can help manage symptoms of asthma and increase lung capacity.

Type two diabetes is a chronic disease that primarily interferes with the bodies ability to produce and utilise insulin. This results in elevated blood sugar levels which can have a negative impact on health long term'. Both an acute bout of exercise and long term adherence to an exercise program, can have positive effects on the management of T2DM and the associated co-morbidities. Fix is excited to announce that we are now offering medicare funded type 2 diabetes exercise groups delivered by our team of exercise physiologists.
